Brought to you by the team at FIRST, Startup Awards North East is an interactive, live pitching and creative business event unlike no other, celebrating all stages of starting up in our superb region.

Over the day, 3 categories of business startup will be celebrated alongside partners, friends and new contacts. You can come for one or come to it all. Here's the breakdown of the live finals:

08:30 - 10:00 SkillUP

Pre startup founders sharing their ideas and ambitions to progress onto self-employment

10:30 – 12:00 StartUP

Sole traders or registered business founders with a turnover of less than £50,000 and who are looking for resources to give their new business a boost.

14:00 – 16:00 ScaleUP

Ambitious sole traders or registered business founders who want to grow their business and have a turnover of £50,000 +.

Click here for more info. To ensure the events are accessible to everyone we are asking for a 'pay what you can' for each final. If you want an exclusive networking lunch, we do have to charge. All funds raised go into ensuring we can continue running the event and reaching more early stage founders for 2023 and beyond!
