Celebrate Social Impact Success - Led by NIBE, powered by FIRST & PNE

About this event

NIBE invites you to celebrate and showcase founders putting purpose at the heart of their businesses. NIBE, along with partners FIRST and PNE, are hosting an event in honour of the Startup Awards North East Social Impact Award winners.

The winners are:

  • Amy Clunes – Whozamy
  • Farzaneh Hajirasouliha - Vivid Future
  • Tara Johnson - Tailored Leisure
  • Ian Brown - Chestnut Natural Capital
  • Laura Hepburn – Greenology

Hosted at Ouseburn Farm, a charity in the heart of Newcastle, guests will be invited to hear from and meet the winners, and to connect with our community of individuals and businesses passionate about creating a better world.

The celebration will be taking place at Ouseburn Farm on Monday 11th October 2021 from 4pm to 7.30pm and for the moment, we are planning on it being a face-to-face event, which is of course dependent on COVID restrictions at the time. The structure of the event will be as follows:

- Welcome from Hugh Stolliday & Kevan Carrick

- Charlotte Windebank giving a talk on the importance of social impact

- Tracey Moore, CEO of PNE will be discussing the reasons for them sponsoring the event as well as social impact opportunities throughout the North East region. PNE is passionate about helping build a sustainable future. They are proud to be able to support socially conscious enterprises through sponsorship of the Social Impact Award and initiatives like the PNE Pioneers programme that champions young entrepreneurs, helping them make a positive social and environmental impact.

- A panel discussion between FIRST co-founder and chair Caroline Theobald and the winners of the Social Impact Award at Startup Awards North East 2021.

- Prize presentation by Chair of NIBE Kevan Carrick

- Opportunity to explore Ouseburn Farm.

- Facilitated Networking opportunity
