Working with universities across the country FIRST provides entrepreneurial activities that add value to student and graduate services. From one off consultancy to freelance accelerator weekends, networking events and undergraduate confidence and skill development.

Current projects include:

Durham Startup Co.
A series of informal networking events to connect, inspire and engage students, graduates and the local business community. Set in a neighbourhood bar with plenty of time to chat, these events are perfect for first time networkers and businesses wanting to meet enthusiastic and motivated students wanting to change the world!

University of Sunderland’s Freelance Weekend
Developed as an engagement piece to launch the University of Sunderland’s new freelance hub for undergraduates, FIRST has been tasked to recruit, design and facilitate the weekend alongside university staff. Devised as a pilot the event will consist of essential topics to begin freelancing, fun and interactive sessions to build confidence and an impact report detailing next steps and feedback from students.

Northumbria University startup weekends in Newcastle and their London Campus
Brought in as a workshop provider and event compere FIRST delivers the ice breakers, fires up the students and makes sure everyone is comfortable and speaking to each other! We also deliver workshops in networking, market research and confidence and pitching.

Bournemouth University Student’s Union: Introduction to business startup
A programme of workshops working alongside the VP for education at the Student’s Union. FIRST is delivering workshops in networking, speaking to businesses and the Business Model Canvas.
