Planning and Management

"If you look really closely, most overnight successes took a long time" - Steve Jobs Co-Founder Apple

What would you do with a hundred thousand pounds?

What about a million?

Could you even imagine what you would do with a trillion?

Well, this month, Apple announced that they were the first company to hit 3 trillion dollars! To put it into context a million seconds equals 12 days, but a trillion seconds... is a whopping 31,688 years!

You don't make big bucks overnight, as Steve Jobs says "If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time."

Jobs began his startup journey aged 16, with business partner Steve Wozniak. Together they created the 'blue box', a device allowing users to make long distance calls at no cost. They reportedly made $6000 but had to stop their venture when they were almost caught by police.

Reflecting on his first taste of entrepreneurship, Steve Jobs stated "If we wouldn’t have made blue boxes, there would have been no Apple."

So how does success seem to appear over night? We believe that planning and management have a lot to do with it and are the FIRST steps to personal or business growth.

Keep reading for curated opportunities to plan and manage your time and become the next, North East’s ‘overnight’ success story.
