Ukrainian refugees could help North East increase number of startups, says business enterprise
We were in the spotlight on the ITV North East news highlighting the success of working with under represented communities in the North East to help raise the aspirations and opportunities for the communities living here.
The news report highlighted the work we are doing with Ukrainian refugees in the North East as we use our Level 1 in Understanding Enterprise course to develop their enterprise skills and support them in re-building their careers and lives in the UK thanks to the funding from the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
FIRST are on a mission to provide inclusive, lifelong learning experiences within enterprise and entrepreneurship that empowers skills, confidence, self-belief and motivation, whilst creating value to our society and economy and will continue to work with partners to offer opportunities that enables everyone to have equitable opportunities to progress into decent work, meaningful education or self-employment.
