Overall job role
The recruitment officer will have responsibility for the recruitment of learners and early stage business founders to all of FIRST’s programmes including Startup Awards North East and our Understanding Enterprise courses. As the link between the marketing and operations team, you will play a vital role in helping people access our services, so they develop leadership and progression skills. Please note, as part of this role you will be required to have an enhanced DBS check - something FIRST will provide if successful in the post.
Day to day responsibilities
Learners/participants:
- Develop, implement and evaluate recruitment plans for all contracts.
- Develop relationships with perspective learners to convert expressions of interests into enrolment.
- Attend community events and networking opportunities such as skill conferences and job fairs to attract learners
- Monitor and track progress against contractual profile numbers.
- Design and innovate new ways of engaging with perspective learners/participants
Partners:
- Establish and maintain all referral partnerships including the organisation of the strategic partnership board.
- Identify internal and external progression routes for learners
- Develop communication plan for established and new referral partners
- Attend strategic networking opportunities to develop relationships with partners such as local government meetings and skill based round tables.
Team:
- Work with the marketing department to ensure all communications and marketing is suitable to audience, is disseminated and assists with learner and participant uptake.
- Work with the full team to plan and contribute to the full life cycle of a project, offering your skills and expertise to help shape further recruitment drives.
- With support from the operations manager to lead on all internal recruitment for team posts.
- Build a recruitment team based on the success of meeting current, contractual targets.
